The Children and Youth Solution Summit 2021 is an initiative of the Down to Zero Alliance in the Philippines aimed at contributing to child and youth development by constructively involving them in learning and doing and being connected to positive adults and their peers. The purpose of this summit is to provide solutions at the children’s level on SEC in times of COVID-19.

The Solution Summit was divided into two phases. Phase 1 was the presentation of the global and Philippine situation in connection with the SEC and was held in line with the National Children’s Day last November 20, 2021. A resource person was engaged to discuss SEC on global and national level for the children and youth advocates to obtain ideas in the crafting of proposed solutions. From this, the child participants were able to get ideas and draft solutions through an action plan at their level. The alliance will take charge in consolidating the proposed action plans so as to avoid repetitions of the solutions. Phase 2 will be conducted in time with the Safer Internet Day on 2022.

Child advocates from the implementing partners of Terre des Hommes Netherlands in Cebu, Philippines presenting their plan of action to their peers.
Pambansang Kongreso ng Kababaihan sa Kanayunan (PKKK) or National Rural Women Coalition child advocates from Bataan found an entertaining way to introduce themselves. The organization is the implementing partner of Plan International Philippines for Down to Zero Building Back Better project.
